Re: one-handed controls?
With the newest Luanti versions, I believe you can rebind anything to anything. So if you have a mouse with additional buttons you should be able to bind forward/backward to these additional mouse buttons. Maybe that‘s an option. Another thing could be trying to use a gamepad and control look direct...

Re: Corrupted Worlds
This bug is very old, from 0.4.13 times iirc.
It is sufficient to simple delete env_meta.txt. No need to create a new world etc…
Afaik you only lose the ingame time of day (and total play time in the world) by this, so nothing particularly important.

Re: Cash’s World legacy gathering
Cash‘s world was the first Server I played Minetest on. Feels a bit nostalgic. Unfortunately it seems no one has been able to rescue the world.

Re: Avoiding downloading server's "Media" after installing a new minetest client
Assuming you are on Windows:
You can copy the contents of the „cache“ folder over to the new version. Then it should find the media again.

Hi, apologies if this is the wrong place, but how can I debug what part of a rail/TCB is causing a crash like this: AsyncErr: Lua: Runtime error from mod 'advtrains' in callback environment_Step(): ...est/mods/advtrains/advtrains_interlocking/signal_api.lua:310: attempt to index local 'ndef' (a nil...

Re: [Mod] Advanced Trains [advtrains] [2.8.0]
2.8.0 released I have decided to release the timetable system from the Cesky Hvozd server, implemented by singularis_mzf (aka Davidsoft on LinuxForks) for his server. Over the last months I have been integrating it into upstream advtrains, removing the server-specific parts and making general sense...

Re: ContantDB - task failed - Unknown server error
It's a bug that ContentDB says "unknown server error" rather than telling you the problem. I'll fix this soon Hi rubenwardy, I have a similar problem with my package orwell/advtrains. In job https://content.luanti.org/tasks/0be2ca7d-e444-40f1-b578-7d911946a715/?r=/packages/orwell/advtrain...

Re: [Mod] Advanced Trains [advtrains] [2.6.0]
Hi all, it looks like the server hosting advtrains.de is currently experiencing a Denial of Service. It appears not to be a genuine attack, but rather some kind of webcrawler crawling the git.bananach.space cgit instance, which loads the server quite heavily. I have to contact the server administrat...

Re: [Mod] Advanced Trains [advtrains] [2.6.0]
After starting to move again it turned around and started moving in the other direction. I have noticed that behaviour too. I think that when the train thinks it becomes derailed cause I paused it on a curve, then the whole (coupled) train just flips around. I haven't 100% been able to reproduce it...

Re: [Mod] Advanced Trains [advtrains] [2.6.0]
I have a small request to all people who contributed translations to advtrains in the past or are willing to do this. I recently went thru the codebase and added proper translation strings to all of the sub-mods. In this I also split each sub-mod into its own translation file. Since I only know Germ...

Re: [Mod] Advanced Trains [advtrains] [2.6.0]
Couple of problem I've come across. Can't remove TCB. When you assign a signal to a tcb; if you then remove the signal, it changes saying it's a distance signal, but no signals assigned. You then cannot remove the tcb as it believes it has a signal assigned. If you haven't assigned a signal, TCB ca...

Re: [Server] LinuxForks (Lots of trains)
I have found an old image from data mining the media cache. I think it was meant to be used as a subway map for an older incarnation of LinuxForks, probably the original LinuxWorks server from 2016 (the present server was launched as "LinuxWorks NG", for Next Generation). I hope some of t...

Re: looking for a long-term server!
EDIT: I missed survival in your list of requirements... LinuxForks probably isn't what you're looking for in that case. It's not a creative-mode server but free food and shelter are available if you decide to take advantage of those offerings. I‘d not say so. We are a survival-mode and all resource...

Hi,
Yesterday I released 2.6.0, with that the linetrack issues should be fixed. But make sure you are using the updated version from Emojiminetest (which is also on ContentDB)
orwell

Re: [Mod] Advanced Trains [advtrains] [2.6.0]
2.6.0 I decided to make a smaller release now because I am away the next weeks. Big new feature is the ability to do load balancing with ARS, a.k.a Multi-ARS. I documented it on the wiki (https://advtrains.de/wiki/doku.php?id=usage:interlocking:ars). Aside from this there are quite a few bugfixes t...

Re: [Mod] Advanced Trains [advtrains] [2.5.0]
I can not find how to remove a TCB from a track section anymore; the TCB formspec does not longer show the corresponding button. It seems like you need to remove (dissolve) the entire section now. Less related: it seems like sections are now split and merged automatically when TCBs are placed and r...

Re: [Mod] Advanced Trains [advtrains] [2.5.0] (LZB seems to prevent "enter"/"leave" callbacks)
I got a weird problem with my previously working setup of using LuaATC tracks for stations. I am using an unmodified Advtrains 2.5.0 from ContentDB. "enter"/"leave" callbacks for rails (those called when a train enters or leaves the rail) are now called when the train is at the ...
