Re: Luanti 5.16.1

Mod Directories Are Now Read-only
we can still edit the mods by hand on our end but now the engine is limited in how it can modify mods or did i get it wrong?

Right, you can still edit them just fine on platforms that support it (Android tends not to like that :( ). Watch out for pitfalls ...

Re: Luanti 5.16.1

sorry to only ask this now that update 5.17 is just around the corner, but:
Mod Directories Are Now Read-only

Writing to mod directories was deprecated in Luanti 5.9.0. This is now enforced by a runtime error. Mods should use core.get_mod_data_path() to store global data or core.get_worldpath() to ...

Re: Inventory Debate

Short answer: none.
All of them have their pros and cons when it comes to looks and function.

Long answer:
When playing Minetest-based games, I end up falling back to Unified Inventory + Unified Inventory Plus (UI+) all the time, despite prefering the other revamp mods' interface for multiple ...

Are there any plans of adding mead to Mineclone? Or am I doing something wrong? I tried fermenting honey alone with glass and honey bottle (both with and without the empty glass), but none of them fermented (i managed to make vodka, wheat beer and cyder).

I'm using Mineclonia instead of MineClone2 ...

Re: [Game] Mineclonia [0.120.0]

I just got wind that Minecraft is beginning to consider nerfing Mending. I really don't want MineClonia to follow suit with that modification. So if Minecraft goes through with nerfing Mending (Or removing it, which is way worse), you should break the synchrony and keep Mending as it was before ...

Re: [Game] Mineclonia [Version Disputed]

Well, I would like to make MineClonia DX as a sort of middle ground for people. It tries to copy Minecraft, but at the same time it deviates by adding content that is likely to be included in later updates, plus having a way to prevent potential softlocking. It essentially will be the combination ...

Re: [Game] Mineclonia [Version Disputed]

Well, if I was working on MineClonia (Like DX for example), I would first check if something similar already exists, if so, I would try to implement that, getting as much added as possible, so, Copper would've also brought in Bronze, which then would lead to MoreOres getting involved because it ...

Add copper stuff [hezemisverydumb]

Re: Peaceful gamemode

If you don't want your hunger bar to go up, Mineclonia also has the same 4 difficulty settings (including peaceful) as Minecraft. With the "Only spawn peaceful mobs" setting, you can set the difficulty to easy or higher and have your character get hungry without worrying about monsters (and also ...

That very likely will break compatibility with a lot of games & mods...Destroying much of Luanti's history. It should be abandoned.

What compatibility is broken by this patch?

Do you think manually overriding the in-game files with the ones in the texture pack will work?
We'd have to re-do the process with each update, but hey, if it works, that's good enough to me (i mostly want to change tool textures).

And do you think it would ever be possible in a ...

Probably intentional. According to the minecraft wiki, it's not possible to ride any mounts through any portals.
