Re: [Game] Mineclonia [0.121.0]
Hi all I've been having a strange issue of late. I think there's something funky with the game physics either because of my settings and mods (although I did clear my .minetest folder), or I've discover some sorta bug. When ever I block with a shield I get shot a bajillion blocks into the air and f...

Re: [mod]myores[myores]
I sense a small problem: I found another mod with Amethyst & Emerald, I want to have both mods, but I can't allow duplicate errors like this, is there a way for this to work? Either some materials will have to be removed, or some way to check if those items exist in some form to avoid near-dupl...

Re: What games should we feature at FOSDEM?
I have half a mind to split this topic into "What games should we feature at FOSDEM 2027" aka. “Everyone posts their three favorite games” 🤣 Maybe the game decision for next FOSDEM can be made in the content database instead of in a forum disucssion? I mean, there is a rating system imple...

Re: Can't connect to server list or ContentDB in Luanti
Uh, i hope not because i'm in France so this shouldn't be a problem really haha. True, we have a lot of French users so this would cause an uproar.. Also a relative on a computer on the same wifi connection can connect to Luanti's website alright. It sounds quite likely to be an issue on your own c...

Re: Can't connect to server list or ContentDB in Luanti
Thanks for your answers, but this is definitely not an issue with the availability of the actual server. I mean that everytime i try to connect to the contentDB or the servers list in my Luanti game, it just fails instantly. This can be related to the ISP or country (e.g. China, Russia) blocking th...

Is it a game that you launch from the main menu or a modpack made for another base game? So I know where to file this topic appropriately.

Re: [Game] Delver's Realm [0.99.6-testing]
most notably you can now physically traverse the dimensions which span the entire Luanti world generation area. This is a pretty cool idea, so long as you make it an interesting experience to build through (or otherwise traverse) that area. Erupting through the bedrock ceiling of the Nether or arri...
Re: Sky
protections of any kind don't seem to work. even protected chests can be dug. I can confirm that on the fm:Road server (almost same as Sky:Yggdrasil which I also visited) protectors show the owner as @1 and while the chat shows a message about the area being protected the node is dug and annihilate...

[...] It's a good thing then that nobody's talking about sending your passwords to another server. [...] but how do you want to do it then ? i only see two ways: 1. if you register on one server it syncs the registration (with password) to all other servers in the server group 2. you only get regis...

Re: Luanti 5.16.0-rc1
Choices are always more fun, but I'm sure the engine devs will say that choices make maintenance more complicated. I haven't played MC in a very long time, and didn't realize we had a better feature than they've got: the ability to walk over a single-node gap. I like that feature very much. The hal...

floaty : Only "step up" when on ground or falling. Same as legacy, but you can no longer "step up" during the "rising" phase of a jump. Also allows you to walk over short gaps without falling. rigid : Only "step up" when on ground. This one is unique. It is n...

Re: idea: seperate service for tracking on-person items So moving from server to server can keep personal items.
so you want me to send user-data to random servers i dont know ? No, I want servers to be able to share user data if they have the informed consent of their players. In particular, the inventories and maybe preferences like skins, like OP is asking for. since there are SO MANY servers out there i R...

Re: OpenStreetMap Money Scheme
Sounds too easy to be quite right. Of course, while you're at it you could also automate extruding the buildings out and so on. There's even a game with this gimmick, Infection Free Zone . The problems include: The data are often incomplete - not everywhere has house outlines, so to sell some areas ...

This sort of idea has been conceived before. Usually the solution is not a global system but federation, where servers mutually agree to share and recognise each other.

Re: disappointed
After coming from Mineclone2, you need to understand that that name is now historic, and the successors are now split into Voxelibre and Mineclonia. If you want an original game, Voxelibre is now that. If you want the 99% accurate Minecraft clone, go for Mineclonia. I know you were probably happy wi...

Re: Luanti 5.15.2
Why do people even stay at old ahh versions, is they stupid? 5.0.0 was a bit of a rough release for some servers performance, plus it would take at least a couple of hours to fix some of the deprecations. Bouncy physics were broken too I think, plus other small things made some people think "i...
