Re: Luanti 5.17.0 release candidate 1 - help us test
Oh, I didn't know of the existence of core.protocol_versions. (The API is big.) That helps.

The new animation interface is intended for use with glTF animations
and allows mixing and matching multiple separate, named animation tracks.
This API is only supported properly by Luanti 5.17.0+ clients.

Re: [Game] Hades Revisited [0.20.2]
The number Y=-500 was correct, but chondrite must be close to water *and* lava. The tooltip was incomplete (I fixed it).

Re: [Game] Hades Revisited [0.20.2]
Has the way to convert lava changed?
Yes. The old method was very erratic and weird and hard to predict. It also created too many water sources. Water is meant to be hard to come by. I plan to add more ways to get water.
There appears to be a small error in crafting black slab.

"doc" version 1.4.1 released! This fixes a crash if calling doc.show_entry for an entry that doesn’t exist. Instead, it will show an error message to the player in a formspec.

Re: [Game] Hades Revisited [0.20.2]
There are many new tree species and each tree species now has its own trunk and leaves. In old versions, some tree species shared the same trunk, because the tree species were incomplete. This is why your leaves decayed. Old orange trees used "jungle tree trunk" (which became the kaki tree trunk ...

Re: New Feature Hype Thread
I didn’t expect such a heavy reaction to this, and I don’t understand why. Obviously, games can "abuse" this feature but you’re overlooking that Luanti technically “allows” games to do various other things to heavily annoy players. Luanti already gives games plenty of opportunity to be nasty to ...

In the next version, you will be able to force certain HUD elements to be displayed always, i.e. they cannot be hidden with the "Toggle HUD" key.
This can be useful for some full-screen effects.

Re: Customizable wielditem animations for items with on_use func
Since 5.16.0, we can skip item wield animations with a new argument in player:set_wielded_item.
That way, I managed to properly implement/fix the compass wieldhand animation in Repixture. Now, when the compass needle changes, the annoying "up/down" movement is gone, only the needle moves (as it ...

I know I’m several months late to the party but I would have suggested my own game Lazarr! because it’s now a completed game and I worked so hard on the latest updates and levels. Maybe next year?
