Thank you, this is awesome! I have some non-free OS-based users and I wasn't looking forward to dealing with getting the CSM set up on that. So this package sounds great for that use case.

Re: Luanti AppImage creator bash script
Thank you for sharing the AppImage build! That's a tech I have not gotten into yet, and this is a good working example. I know a little about building a Flatpak, but seeing this is great.
I also like its availability in your menu app you linked to.

Re: Luanti for a 7-year-old OK? How do I ensure child protection?
If you have lots and lots of time and servers and skills, you can run your own serverlist and of course your own servers, so then you could have a list of shareable worlds for anyone else using your infrastructure. You might also be interested in restricting access to contentdb. You could change the...

Re: Just curious how often do you delete your media cache?
I only clear the Luanti media cache when I am testing stuff with the cache, like the cool remote media script (note: link to my blog post) where you can set up a web server so downloading media is a little faster.

Re: Food in sandbox games
For me, the struggle to get enough food early on in a survival game is the fun part. But once you get a solid farm going, food becomes just a mere chore, and then you have tons and tons. So it's good for the first ~10 hours of survival gameplay, and then it gets repetitive. I wouldn't mind the abili...

I am aware of other mods that provide cooked egg, and chocolate milk, and some of the copper things, wheat flour and dough. Would you be interested a pull request that checks for the existence of these mods and then does not provide these recipes?

This information about the .tr and .po/.pot files: does that mean that the `find` command from the script in the docs could just include -o -name '*.po' -o -name '*.pot' -o -name '*.tr'?

Luanti Web Services Proxy
I wrote a small project that makes it easy to use multiple instances of ContentDB and Serverlist in Luanti. Because the official ContentDB is very picky about what mods are allowed (under the laws where they are hosted, among other reasons), there might be other places to get packages, i.e., games, ...

Re: New Mineclonia CSM
CSMs aren't on ContentDB because there's deliberately no easy mechanism for installing them. Oh, that's right. They don't go in mods/ , they go in clientmods/ . So as currently designed, Luanti can't pull from ContentDB and put content there, but I assume it would be feasible to do that if the engi...

Re: New Mineclonia CSM
You never got a reply here, so let me say: I like this client-side mod, even though I have to compile the luanti engine for the client. Is the mod something worthy of putting in ContentDB? I suppose because of the custom engine required, it's reasonable to expect a user would also be able to get the...

Re: LinuxServer.io Docker Doesn't let Luanti Announce Server [UNSOLVED]
I believe Linuxdirk is trying to say that you need to configure Luanti, inside each container, to use a distinct port number that matches the distinct port number that a player would use to connect. That is, container 1's luanti instance should listen on port 30010 and then also the docker instance ...

Re: [Mod] Tinctures [v0.2] [tinctures]
If your code depends on the tools to be already registered, would it benefit from core.register_on_mods_loaded() ? I recommend making your functions local (or within your mod's namespace) and then running something like the following. core.register_on_mods_loaded(initialize_tool_tinctures) I got the...

Re: Modpacks as lists?
I would not use this feature, but merely because I use git for most of my mods and not ContentDB. It sounds like a decent idea though, particularly with reducing duplication of mods on the filesystem.

Re: [Mineclonia] Are there any commands/mods for teleportation?
I use mod respawn , but really only for named teleport destinations. There's also poi (points of interest) that even integrates nicely with minetestmapserver. I should use poi more, but respawn's "teleport" and "set_place" are easy to use. But it does mess up the regular upon-dea...

My number of new updates tends to get a little messed up if any of my mods are installed with git rather than from ContentDB through the nice in-game mod manager.

Re: how does updating on contentDB look like when changing dependencies?
Put in the release notes that "NEW DEPENDENCY: PLEASE READ"? But not everybody sees the release notes; they just hit the "update" button and move on. So perhaps also put in the code register.register_on_joinplayer() a chat message if the dep isn't detected, "Please ask the s...

Re: Is is possible to "transfer" a player to another server
This is theorizing from a person who hasn't done anything like this yet: Could one core.serialize() everything about the player? Would that be only the inventory (and optionally, privileges?) On a less-user-friendly method, some core.serialize() that dumps the entire player row from the DB to a file...

Thanks for explaining that! I like that: non-volatile storage for mod data. Like firmware, that doesn't change very often.
