Re: July - This Month in Minetest
thanks, your welcome! and next time, consider making our job a little easier by submitting a blog info submission for new mods. that way we know what to add and what to say :)sirrobzeroone wrote: ↑Fri Aug 19, 2022 03:58+1 Just read this months article, and got a surprise worm farm got a mention :). Re: July - This Month in Minetest
Personally, I think the monthly blog is a good approach to share the information and best practice (or good practice) between the communities of server users and developers. (officially and globally)
I also think the minetest game engine and its applications (mods) could provide the following functions:
1) Game Entertainment;
2) Social Media and network service;
3) Culture and Historical story (review);
4) Education for school students;
5) Charity.
I will also launch a game server in 2022Q4 or next year after I have a close and slight review on the source code (C/C++ and LUA) if possible.
Thank you very much for your help and support.
Best Regards,
Crane Zhou (Saturday afternoon)

Re: July - This Month in Minetest
consider that it would be much more valuable for you to code your own minetest game and host it, than to make yet another minetestgame-mod-soup server.mtvisitor wrote: ↑Sat Aug 20, 2022 06:41Personally, I think the monthly blog is a good approach to share the information and best practice (or good practice) between the communities of server users and developers. Re: July - This Month in Minetest
Ok, thank you very much for your considerate suggestion(s) and comments.
But I am not sure whether our discussion is out of the scope in this post.
To start a new game server may take a long way to run (prepare), different team(s) lead to different results for different expectations. (I am not sure whether I have enough time to do all these work and tasks.)
We could discuss this topic in another session(s).
Thank you very much for your understanding and help.
;-P
