I don't see a problem with bringing Offtopic back. Always that there be a spot for conditions and rules, such as not spam or excesive Shitposting.

Let's see the positive side of this.
At least we have a Offtopic section afterall, maybe it's not like the one we always had, but let's be honest, it's better than nothing. What would you do if we did not have an Offtopic section at all? At least the admins left certain spot for Offtopic stuff after all.

One might predict an overflow of offtopic conversations into the main forums if the offtopic outlet is cut off. If people don't like off topic they don't have to click on it. The nature of the content is fully disclosed in the title and the forum served a purpose.

If someone wants to discuss anything not Minetest related, there are other forums for anything you could think of to talk about.
