Fountain at a plaza I'm working on.
I've been stuck on this for about a week now, could someone please help me come up with a design for this part right here? It's 58x9.

Benches, decorative hedges, small lake, flower beds, lamps, direction signs, statues. Or even a mini petrol station.

Re: Post your screenshots!
Welcome to the club :) However many of J. Verne's novels are actually second-rate works (I mean such ones as Dick Sand or Two Year's Vacation which are very naive), many of them are genuine masterpieces of fantasy with slight addition of (pseudo)science. My favourite is "Twenty Thousand Leagues under the Sea". H.G. Wells is a master in his own class, one of the first to provide windows to alternate realities.TumeniNodes wrote:I'm titling these things Vernian but, work I am doing is a mix of Jules Verne & H.G. Re: Post your screenshots!
Valleys sometimes generate very realistic terrain even with standard parameters. I haven't tweaked v7 yet, but it has potential for yet more interesting worlds. I hope to try in the far future adding some elevated water features to it. Nice screenshots.ShadMOrdre wrote:Landscape painting in Minetest.

From "Eldorado" (when scaled down it would be very suitable for railroad constructions I suppose):

It's nice to be able to repair armor and tools. Does it go so quick that you have to repair at half wear?

Re: Slow progress is better then no progress
Look closer at the brickwork... ; )
(Era appropriate lighting)
Someone had asked me, the answer is "All 16px textures" (well aside from the crystal chandeliers which are 32px but I can get away with 24px 'breaking the power of 2 rule, cuz Ima badath' and still retain much of the detail... just takes some work)

Superb quality, both design and very realistic textures. What tp did you use?TumeniNodes wrote: Someone had asked me, the answer is "All 16px textures" (well aside from the crystal chandeliers which are 32px but I can get away with 24px 'breaking the power of 2 rule, cuz Ima badath' and still retain much of the detail... just takes some work)

Another satisfactory tweaking of Valleys -- "Waterfalls" (yes, for certain parameters rivers or rather river sources generate nice small vertical waterfalls when steep slopes are undercut by downcasts or wide cave entrances). Tp "Horrorpack", one of the best in whole MT Universe.

Wow, thank you very much.voxelproof wrote:Superb quality, both design and very realistic textures. What tp did you use?
The TP is part of the creative/building version I have been working on, currently unreleased, and incompatible with MTG. There is no prediction of when it will be yet.

Re: Post your screenshots!
Generally I pursue lighter shades and my main objective during working on Sunny TP was providing sort of 'light therapy' by in-game graphics. There're strong indications that certain colours, shapes, landscapes can greatly improve (or worsen) well-being, mood and feeling of a player. The result is a genuine digital drug, however the side-effect is that it is potent enough to cause addiction of vulnerable individuals :)
On the other hand, from time to time I like to decrease stream of light radiating from Minetest and then I switch to dimmer and more attenuated textures.
