I am on Linux Mint, using Minetest 5.5.1.
I have tried to install games and mods, putting them in /home/<my name>/.minetest/mods and /home/<my name>/.minetest/games. But I don't see them in Minetest.

Re: Problem with user data directory
How did you install Minetest? Through apt or flatpak?
You can open the user data dir by clicking the button in the about tab of the main menu.
You could instead use the main menus content installer (Content > "Browse online content") to install stuff without worrying about folders

The share folders are for resources shared among all users, I wouldn't recommend it for installing games and mods thereFestus1965 wrote: ↑Sun Jun 05, 2022 02:09does files exist in

Re: Problem with user data directory
The user data dir when using flatpak can be found at /home/user/.var/app/net.minetest.Minetest/.minetest/
Re: Problem with user data directory
Thanks, that works.rubenwardy wrote: ↑Sun Jun 05, 2022 10:23The user data dir when using flatpak can be found at /home/user/.var/app/net.minetest.Minetest/.minetest/
