Analyzing the scene, I have found things that make me strange, torment and disturb me.

Ruben Strange Set.png
Ruben Strange Set.png (798.55 KiB) Viewed 8131 times
1. Ruben's laptop is an Apple. Something strange in someone who loves free software. A strange black cat rides the bitten apple as if it wanted to take it over. The Minetest logo is inverted, any hidden meaning? We will continue investigating...
2. A strange green folder with sleeves containing minetest clippings. Mob Redo and Other World by Shara, why so thin, why so few sheets?
3. A Minetest trifold. What does it contain?
4. Ruben's portable phone. It's an opening case, not the classic and modern one. It is tactile and has a pencil. Will it be Apple too?
5. Strange square objects. They could be memory cards or chewing gum or chocolates.
6. LUA stickers. Irrelevant LUA.
7. Minetest stickers. Small size and small quantity.
8. Monitor of few inches. MTG on screen?
9. Mini keyboard without numeric keypad. Will it be mechanical?
10. Another laptop hidden from view of the curious.
11. Ruben and his companion like to drink coffee, to stay alert.
12. The mouse is not wireless. Nowadays it is unacceptable.
13. The chairs are rococo style with wide and high backs. They don't look very comfortable.
14. Exposed brick walls. It seems to be a place of the Amsterdam suburb or a European city. They put the Minetest booth in a corner of the room. Why not in a prominent place?
14-2 The set table is small. Why? Minetets deserves something great. The mat should be green and better ironed.
15. The street looks industrial, no one passes by. Why is it far away from everything?
16. The cable anchored to the ground with insulating tape. It doesn't look professional to me. This meeting has no budget or what?

I only expect one request from me: If boys and girls approach, teach them Samz. It is suitable and cheerful for them.

One suggestion, a minetest rollup would be great. It would catch more people's attention. Rolls up and transports "easy".

This is fairly offtopic as this was Freenode Live 2018 in Bristol. I just included an image to give context. But:
  1. Not my laptop. My laptop is behind the monitor, running the demo. Although, I use a different laptop now
  2. The book is our flipbook, contained info posters for 20 mods. I'd like to do a similar thing, but mostly with games (the game jam is great for this!)
  3. It's a leaflet, it had information about MT. We'll be using a new one at FOSDEM
  4. Not my phone
  5. Not mine - that's chocolate someone had
  6. Lua is relevant to Minetest
  7. I believe I brought 200 stickers, they're 40x40mm each. They weren't all on the table at the same time
  8. 24" monitor. No idea, we went through a few games and mods
  9. Just a cheap keyboard, I don't have it anymore
  10. Mine
  11. Yes
  12. Cheap mouse, less like to be taken
  13. Probably weren't
  14. Bristol. It was quite prominent - we were at the head of the room, right next to the entrance to the lecture theatre. We were next to KDE. At the first Freenode Live, our stall was right next to the Freenode one. But both conferences were small enough that everything was in one room, there weren't any non-prominent places
  15. It's central Bristol: https://maps.app.goo.gl/6ZaouqkpTaXQFRQL9 This area used to be docks but is now used as a cultural hub
  16. Health and safety is a thing

As mentioned in the opening post, I would like to have a roll up banner

Why doesn't the banner show that Minetest works in a web browser, too? Is it hidden because the web version too experimental?

I was also at FOSDEM and visited the stand to meet and talk to a few people.
It looked very well visited (bet people loved the live demo). Thank you again for organizing it!

I wasn't there but I'm glad you organized this. I was happy to learn that Glitch was promoted there. :-)
