In between development and testing the new UI API, I often find myself wandering the world in devtest aimlessly. So I decided to channel that into creativity instead. As a result, I've ended up with this rather geometric but very cool tower built around a mountain. It hasn't stopped me from running around aimlessly, but now I'm doing it on staircases :)

It would be interesting, though it would really only work unmodified in creative mode. Imagine if there were crafting recipes, possibly more ores and things like trees would be needed. A lot of the stuff could be quite interesting, like choosing your own viscosity for liquids.

You're missing the point, that's basically creative mode still. Open a new world with devtest in survival mode and no privileges. You can't get a chest of everything.

Maybe just maybe it could be some kind of PvP gimmick where the chest of everything moves around randomly and people compete to find it and use its items, but that's still a modification just like crafting recipes.
