Lovely! Personally, i would not place tracks on glass; the intense weight of the train will break the glass and lead to a derailment.

I did place tracks on glass once, no twice. However, the actual rail nodes are supported properly, and i even got a nice tunnel with nice decorations!

The lava tunnel also serves as the place to put annoying users in; a funny little contraption pushes them directly into the lava if they come near it, which is also where they respawn.

I find this map quite interesting, but I can't seem to be able to grab all the mods that it needs, even if I install all of them that are enabled in world.mt there are still unknown nodes everywhere. Could you upload the complete modset as the versions that exist in your mods folder or even bundle it in the world download as worldmods? It'd make it a lot easier to try out your map.

starts at near 0' 4' 0 but u can use/place travelnet box to get here with "net1" network!!!

Line 2 has some attention today. this part will be between high modern concrete buildings. i got a new but wors phone wich is sh!t so building and writing anything anywhere is so harder.

PLEASE EVERY1 NEVER BUY A HONOR PHONE!

now i'm restarting the project. i got energy and time now, and got into mobile minetest enough to bridge over some of it's issues.

now i'm just doing some decorations and corrections, but will continue the line 2 too, just later. i noticed that some of the tunnels and are really ugly and i want to improve them. also i got suprised that some of the images i attached to my posts on this topic had more than 1000 views, wow!

now publicating V3.2!
i have finished the first few sections' tunnels and did correct a few problems. the first section has some crossing mines which i want to keep visible, i will probably cut them out from the tunnel and make glass walls there. the third stop was probably the last one which only had elevator as exit, now it has stairs too. some speed limit marks have moved a bit, but not all, some are still in weird positions. and some sections got double tracks as well.
if you want to download, go to the first post on this topic! i will keep the 3.1 for now, to have a comparison for the changes.

i have no idea why or how this happened. i packed all the mods i used except skinsdb. the advtrains mods do crash IF i enable ALL, but i only use the main one, i don't know how to disable the others if they are in 'worldmods' maybe just delete them?

can you please try again with deleting the unneeded mods? they are written in white on the screenshot below↓ if that did not help, i will look further.

the crash seems to be happened by advtrains as i have a very outdated version because my client is outdated too. so you could try to just get an updated version of advtrains as an alternative.

Deleting those mods does allow the world to load, but I can't see any trains.

Replacing your older advtrains mod with the current version does not work.

The problem seems to be the missing advtrains_interlocking.ls file; does it exist on your server?

there is no trains placed by default, the "system" is not automated.

i get no errors like this, so it should exist on my device, and i did not remove it.
after checking, i dont have a file called like that. i dont even know what that file does.
it does not even log in debug.txt that this file is missing.

stupid question: if you make a random file with such a name, does it work? since i don't have that file and i don't seem to need it at all, i guess an empty file should work(?)

No, advtrains won't accept an empty file .ls file.

In the end I installed advtrains from contentdb, created a new world (which generates the missing .ls files), then I copied the .ls files into metrotest.

3.3 is in progress, and will contain:
-possible fix of the crash seen on a previous reply
-new speed limit signs-made with woolen wesh mod (on screenshot).
-proton suddenly removed my files without telling me, so V3.1 got lost forever i guess
that means i need to find a good file sharing service, maybe modsfile or sharemods?

the .ls file problem got solved. it was difficult on a phone but done. in v3.3

there is the new version:

V3.3
trailer video

changes:
-more redesigned tunnels
-fix crash made by AdvTrains update
-new speed limit signs on first sections
-renovated a stop and an ugly junction
!!old versions of minetest engine ≥5.5 and lower are no longer supported due to mod updates.
-updated all mods, breaking backwards compatibility>3.2 will stay available for a long time.

recommended rolling stock
Konstal 105na > 2 wagons (included in worldmods(above 3.1))
Bombadier tfl-s7 > 4 wagons
'sim-trains' > 3 wagons

if anyone founds an issue, please post a reply here.

Metrotest V3.4 is now existing on a cloud service as a .zip↓
whats new:
-based on a suggestion, ground-level scenes are
getting buildings (not station entrances for now)
-based on a suggestion, theres a simplified map
in work (butterfly .bfly)
-based on a suggestion, the map gets a proper spawn
at 'Gomba VKP' station (the first of all one)
-a lot of stations got renovated, including separate
platform for opposite directions, somewhat nicer
look, and check-in gates, where you supposed to
use a public transport card to get in
-added the mod Letters, TFL S7, sim trains
-multiple stops now have names, those will 'tell' it
to you via a command block
-removed the 'new' speed limit signs
-some tunnels got renovated and some speed limit
sign got moved/replaced
-thank you all for the 20+ downloads and all the
suggestions!
-if theres a bug or something is very wrong, please
write a reply here.

Downloading the map could be difficult if you don't know
how to pass the advertisement page, so there is a
Tutorial how to pass those advertisement pages

In version 3.4, sim_trains makes the world crash on startup if advtrains_livery_tools was not enabled in the world mods. This can be fixed by editing metro/worldmods/sim_trains/redcom_liveries/mod.conf and moving advtrains_livery_designer, advtrains_livery_database from the depends line to the optional_depends line. That's my fault actually, redcom_liveries has the code to handle advtrains_livery_tools not being present, but I nevertheless marked it as a hard dependency.

Also note that the station at (-31, -19, 565) lacks signalling, esp. it lacks the red concrete block coming from the south, or it is hidden very well.

Apart from that, I really like the map; I like setting up railways with Advtrains, but if I have to build the tracks myself I get bored pretty quickly - track-building is time-consuming. But here the map comes with a lot of tracks already built, which means I could more easily manage to focus on other things. So perhaps if I begin a large-scale project on this map I will be able to finish it.
(I think I will try to interlock all the track, and then automate the line. Yes, that may not be the intended use of the map, but it could be an interesting project. And then go insane :) but most of the line is still not double-track, so interlocking would not be very interesting or even efficient. Better wait a bit.)

(you should also update sim_trains to the latest version for the new underground rolling stock.)
