Ninja-type mobs that throw blades

Maikerumine's madness used to have these Ninja-type mobs, guys wearing Asian conical hats or turbans (may have had both depending on the character) as I recall, who would throw what looked like a boomerang-shaped blade at you from a distance, causing damage.

Does anyone remember this mod or know what it might be?

They were apparently disabled at some point, I recall them disappearing some time before the server went down the last time for a year (before I took over). I can't seem to find any references to this mod in the server assets, anywhere in the forums, or anywhere else for that matter.

This was a mod called Pmobs with a Ninja and a Yeti who threw stars and snowballs if I remember correctly.

Thanks for weighing-in on this. Those mobs don't look the same although it's possible that maikerumine could have used them as a base to build on. I have some screenshots of interesting places on that server but none with those mobs, unfortunately. I think I'll have a look at the code and see if there's anything unique that I can use to grep the server assets to see if I can find a connection.

They were very interesting, I'd never seen anything like that before or since. They would just stand there until you got within range and then they'd whip a blade at you.

Well, so much for my visual memory. While something about the shape of it does make it look like something from Ali Baba and the 40 Thieves (to me, anyway), there is no head covering. This mob has what looks like horns on each side of its head and is called a Dustdevil.

Additionally, it launches a vertically-oriented spear at you. I could have sworn it threw something much smaller.
