Add Luanti to speedrun.com

by Usfer1308 » Post

speedrun.com is a website that we can use to track speedruns in the game. We can send a request to add Luanti as a game to the website so we can add different categories to speedrun. You can even have a category for VoxeLibre speedruns. The person who decides to send a request will have to become a moderator and submit a 'full-game run' for Luanti, so we will need to decide what that would be (perhaps something like obtain Diamonds/Mese/Iron/Gold). I've posted this on the discord server too and have seen some interest.

I actually recorded myself doing a speedrun of collecting all the collectibles in Wuzzy's tutorial, that was fun to find a route for. The question is who's going to volunteer to moderate, and whether moderation is split between (sub)games.

VoxeLibre and MineClonia can basically just copy the speedrun categories from Minecraft. A lot of other games can copy some of the categories like "collect diamonds". A lot of the story-oriented games have obvious any% and NMG categories. For Backrooms, it would be to find all of the levels.

Thinking about just how many games there are (and will be in future) for Luanti, maybe it would be better to have Luanti as a "series" on Speedrun.com rather than just one game.

Speedrun creating a mod any%: Just create an empty init.lua in a folder.
he/him; Codeberg; GitHub; ContentDB; public personal TODO list; "DS" is preferred (but often too short)
