Hello,
I've been having an issue recently as Luanti wouldn't connect to Content DB or charge the server list on the Servers tab. I'm guessing this might have something to do with internet in general, but i can connect to any website just fine (as you can see) and do not remember changing connection parameters for Luanti either, or installing a VPN of some sort.
I'm using the PPA version of Luanti.sudo add-apt-repository ppa:minetestdevs/stable
Does any of you have any ideas of i can fix this ?
Can't connect to server list or ContentDB in Luanti
Re: Can't connect to server list or ContentDB in Luanti
There was at least a DDoS happening with ContentDB last Friday. I didn't check the server list, but although it is on a different server it might have been targeted as well, if Luanti really was the target. Everything seems back to normal this morning.
My game? It's Minefall.

Re: Can't connect to server list or ContentDB in Luanti
Thanks for your answers, but this is definitely not an issue with the availability of the actual server. I mean that everytime i try to connect to the contentDB or the servers list in my Luanti game, it just fails instantly.
I opened up luanti form the console and this is what it showed me:
With `luanti --verbose` it gives me (among other things):
I can give more information if needed but i may need to be walked through it.

This can be related to the ISP or country (e.g. China, Russia) blocking the site. I do think blocks have occurred at the level of just content delivery, too, so the website still working doesn't rule that out.

Uh, i hope not because i'm in France so this shouldn't be a problem really haha.
Also a relative on a computer on the same wifi connection can connect to Luanti's website alright.

True, we have a lot of French users so this would cause an uproar..
It sounds quite likely to be an issue on your own computer then. Does this ever happen with other websites?
