What's your favourite Luanti game(s)?
Personally mine is Glitch by Wuzzy. It's a bit frustrating sometimes, but that's usually due to the limits of Luanti's movement engine moreso than the game's actual fault. I also really liked Exile by Mantar.
Anyways, I'm curious, my fellow Luantists: what's your favourite game or games made using Luanti?

Glitch was a good game, Mineclonia is also worth a look :)

Minetest Game because it loads very quickly (important for debugging, testing, including engine changes) and is compatible with most mods that I maintain every now and then.
If I had to pick a game ignoring speed and compatibility, I couldn't decide. There's a few unique games that I liked playing.

Mesecraft is hard and has lots of well chosen mods, it's a tough but entertaining game.
Exile, Unternull, Minefall & Lord of the Test are all also quite unique and difficult.
Asuna is serene and relaxing, an almost fairyland atmosphere and very pleasing to play in. Well except for those thieving slimes... do keep you on your toes a bit.

Tutorial by Wuzzy
My favourite is the Tutorial by Wuzzy 💝
It is the first subgame i had played when Luanti were Minetest, and it grant me positive emotions from how a good tutorial should be designed. I recommend that game to every new player in Luanti.
Now i play most oftenly Mineclonia and VoxeLibre, but they are not so much favourite, because they are too similar to MICROS~1 Minecr*ft, and i dislike many stupid design decision (for example, carrot growing without seeds while similar beetroot from seeds), so these games grants to me not only positive, and also negative emotions.

Re: What's your favourite Luanti game(s)?
Deprecated MineTest Game of course.. it is what I build all of my mods with.
Why? Just because I am a grumpy old fart, who is too deeply set in my ways, not to mention it is still just a really good base for modding, and generally goofing around / tinkering.
Also, I am a builder / modder, not someone who is actually into 'gaming'.
But for every hour I have spent actually building, ..brings about days / weeks of modding to create even more stuff I want to build with, and ideas which arise while building.. and then endlessly working on textures
Modding is an addiction, and it is hard to kick..

its hard to decide
so i will name three ... one for every situation:
minetest_game: will ALWAYS be my most favorite cauz its the game i grow up with ... i LOVE the simplicity ... the feel
mineclonia: its the best "over all" / "out of the box" game ... if you DONT want to "first mod your world" ... just choce mineclonia and you are done ... its all included
Tutorial by Wuzzy: its the best game to get in contact with luanti and to have like a quest ... a finish line ... its the best point to start your jurney with luanti befor going over to "every day life" with mineclonia or minetest_game

Setting Exile to one side, my favorites would have to be Asuna (with TechAge), Skyblock Zero, and Glitch. And of course various MTG mod soups I've assembled over the years and spent a lot of time in.

Re: What's your favourite Luanti game(s)?
Personally it's split between MTG (MineTest Game) & Lazarr, Lazarr is an incredible puzzle game that utilizes the Luanti engine in a rather clever way. Though MTG is the GOAT that allowed Luanti to exist in the first place.

Mineclonia, Extra Ordinance, Agent X. Extra Ordinance is a great game for playing locally, or even on a local server in your home. Agent X was fun, disappointed that the author hasn't continued it. Mineclonia because it's the best Minecraft-like experience in Luanti.

Re: What's your favourite Luanti game(s)?
I really enjoyed skyblock zero. We need more and deeper factory builder games and mods!
MTG used to be good (before the bloat), as a modding base.
Realtest was quite nice and interesting (over 10 years ago?).
Mineclonia is very feature rich (because it imitates the modern minecraft vanilla soup).

he/him; Codeberg; GitHub; ContentDB; public personal TODO list; "DS" is preferred (but often too short)

Yeah, MTG has not changed significantly in like a decade, so I'm a little baffled too.

I think they don't like some of the biomes, like the coniferous forest.
