Congratulations to wata555, winner of our fourth Finding Nemo Challenge! This month's award included a trophy and a chest filled with stacks of dirt with grass and dirt with snow.



Afterward, several players gathered at Nemo's hiding spot for all the usual antics. It turns out there was a lot more to this base than meets the eye. We discovered an extensive network of TNT mines connected by teleporter pads. So what begin as a wild turkey chase turned into an impromptu underground expedition!



The next Finding Nemo Challenge takes place on Sunday, May 4. So don't forget to mark your calendars!.

Greetings friends, it's Nemo here!

I sincerely apologize for disappearing and not posting any updates. I know how discouraging it can feel when the server goes offline for months at a time without any news of if and when it will return.

Unfortunately, this year proved to be far more difficult financially (and emotionally) than anticipated, to the point I was even scraping by just to afford food and rent. With bills piling up and no luck finding work, I had to make the difficult decision to step back and take a much need break in order to refocus. The stress and anxiety just became too overwhelming, and I didn't want personal setbacks to take away from everyone's enjoyment of the game.

The good news is that I finally found a job opportunity! Since the end of August, I've been working tirelessly to make ends meet so that I can return to my favourite pasttime at long last!

I really do appreciate all of your continued support, even in spite of so many life obstacles. I've always vowed to keep the server up and running for as long as possible, and I full intend to keep that promise. We have an amazing community of friends on JT2 -- some of whom have been with us since the very start.

With that in mind, I still have plans to commemorate the 9th Anniversary of JT2, most likely it will be postponed for mid-January. That includes a new time capsule and a 2024 Memorial Stone. I still have trophies to hand out from our last Easter Egg hunt as well!

I'm preparing to bring the server back online in the next couple days, in time for our annual holiday celebration. You know that Santa Claus has a lot of deliveries to make, particularly since we missed out on Christmas last year.

I'm eager and excited to see all of you again ^.^

Christmas is just around the corner, and it's sure to be a joy filled night throughout the land of JT2. Santa Claus is already preparing her sleigh for another round of special deliveries. You will need to craft a stocking and hang it in your home or base by Christmas Eve.

To craft a stocking requires 3 red wool and 1 white wool. You can also buy stockings at the Party Emporium in the Spawntown Mall.



As is tradition, players can trade gifts at either of the Secret Santa Stations in Tring Square. There are only 16 spots available, so be sure to claim yours before they are all taken!

We'll also be holding our annual Christmas Raffle tomorrow at 8pm UTC. To enter the raffle, use the /raffle enter chat command, but be sure to do so before the drawing begins. This year's prizes include a Lag Block, a Nyan Rainbow, and a rare Glowing Egg!

Later today Nemo will be handing out free gingerbread cookies and candycanes for all the good little boys and girls. There's nothing quite like stuffing your tummy with sugary treats before Santa arrives. Ho ho ho!

I'm happy to announce that snowballs have been added to the server!

Snowballs offer an exciting new way of combatting enemies (as well as PvP with friends) when meelee attacks prove too risky or impractical. There's no crafting required. Toss a snowball simply by using a snow item from your inventory, which is easily attainted from mob drops. Sneaking increases the throw distance and doubles the impact damage on mobs or players.

We already had a frenzy of snowball fights early on Christmas morning, but of course it was all in good fun. Enjoy the update!

Party rocking into the second quarter of the 21st century!

Our ninth annual New Year's Eve party takes place this Wednesday, December 31 at Lag Memorial Plaza. We've come a long way this century -- already 25 years of memories filled with happiness, sadness, joy, and pain. But now we're pumped and ready for the next chapter. Will you join us as we mark the occasion on JT2?

We'll be kicking things off with a massive balloon drop followed by a dazzling fireworks display. Then afterward join us at Club Nemo for a non-stop mix of party rock anthems as we segue into 2026!
