Our dear freenemy hlqkj has got himself into a pickle, pillaring up too fast in a rush to some mischief or another, and the server was like oh no no no and put a cheater! label on him
(Please unmark him, we don't want others to get to his loot :D)
PS: we had a friend who could not join because of the VPN block thing, please loosen up the restrictions (and move them to player control, like gags?)

regards, team LGN

Already taken care of. .D:{

Proxy blocker is off.

Dunno wat the wor is about, but a cursory scan of chat makes me think there's a pile of misunderstandings going on ...
well, not my business provided the (possibly several) belligerents feel themselves sufficiently demoted. Carry on and save a stork.

Oh, how heartbreaking to witness the sheer inability of certain folks to mind their own blasted business. I had my reasons — shocking, I know — for not running to the admins with my “pickles.” Yet, here I am, forced to reset my “last seen” on this outrageous "Lunatic" forums just to grace you all with this gem of a response. Truly tragic.

For the peanut gallery’s enlightenment: War? Israel? Iran? Rah rah? What in the actual heck are you babbling about? That video? Left me physically ill — thanks for that.

All I wanted was to rage-quit (again) in style — silently, gracefully, like the legend I am! Because I got so tired of one special someone’s relentless mission to tank the once-joyful vibe of this server, just because they can’t handle me having thoughts. Instead of being treated like “chitt” (yo, Q, you good?), or sitting back watching this same someone make the entire server loathe them, I’m done. Not giving up — shoutout to SomeonesDad for the distinction — but giving in. I’d rather pour my energy into something worthwhile, like this absolute masterpiece of code (lol) I encourage you to start using, to improve the privacy of your chats: https://pastebin.com/vLhjhNjq. License is, ofc, WTFPL!! (Or, if you prefer, MIT of course. :)

So have fun y'all. I'll take a vacation... But beware: you'll never know.

PS: My house is still full wooden, so come in droves, lava-griefers!

PS2: I still think Luanti sucks, and am still outraged y'all accepted it so passively.

Edit, and PS3: Reflecting on it — and aside from my duty to maintain my fiery and unhinged "public image" — I realize I failed to thank you, MustTest. As I mentioned, I had reasons not to draw your attention to this matter, but they were totally unrelated to my cheater status. Let's say, it was my guess that such demotions might have occurred if certain issues reached your respected judgement, and it was my opinion that said demotions would not have helped at all, to the point I was ready to cope with the consequences of getting a "cheatan" stamp on my posterior. Anyways, thank you, again!

Hi dxt_73,

I think you've already got things worked out but for the benefit of others who may read this, leather armor currently provides the best protection against oerkki and elite oerkki attacks. Shell arrows from a distance work well against them. Just remember, bonebox deployment is part of the adventure ;)

The box is indeed unreachable. Frozen, ran out of power, just crashed, or my house burnt down. Will know more in an hour.

Hi lilfresh, DVD's jail is not set up for bone recovery without her help so I think the best way to get them is to get in touch with her. Patience required.

You need to use a drill or TNT, and it can only be mined when it's touching dead obsidian.
As for the client thing, I suspect that may not be possible as Minetest/Luanti is open source and anyone can compile their own client.

Anyone can compile for Android & desktop operating systems. I'm not sure if it's possible or not to build Multicraft Open Source and load it onto a iOS device easily, but even if it is, your average iPad kid who uses Multicraft has no idea how to do that, and will present a version_string that identifies they are using MultiCraft, or at least appear as an old version of Minetest (not sure on the specifics). Anyone smart enough to do that probably isn't the target of blocking Multicraft, which is usually done to keep the stupid levels on a server down.

As long as you initialized the staff with the player that owns the chest, then shared it with the other player, that's the expected behavior. This means if you die and someone grabs the staff from your gravesite, you now have a security leak :)

There's now a max distance limit to keep it from being too OP.

Advice for first time players: If you can't find any cotton/wheat fields in the Outback it means that it's been vandalized and you WON'T BE ABLE TO PLAY until the outback resets (might be a long time). This is meant to be a hard survival but it can be impossible if you are unlucky.

Hi MXB,
That's not quite correct but it does make things a bit more difficult. You can still play but it does make it harder to get a bed. BUT - there are Oerkki, which sometimes drop jungle grass when killed. And jungle grass sometimes drops cotton seeds when placed and dug.

This way of obtaining cotton seeds is frequently needed when attempting the survival challenge in the Caverns as often you don't get cotton seeds in the starting chest.

The Oerkki are only in the portal leading out of the Outback as far as I can see. I was only referring to play purely in the Outback itself. Once you enter the portal there's no way back so fighting the guard Oerkkis to get cotton would be a gamble.

I do agree you can still play in a vandalized Outback as that's just what I did unknowingly. I could not make a bed but I did benefit from several existing mines and obtained ores and metal quite easily. But I did have to wait for a reset to get wheat and cotton. It was insanely frustrating to search all over the outback for cotton and wheat only to realize later that it had been vandalized and should have been easy to acquire. A bitter experience.

My post is just advice to other newbies that they should watch out for this situation. It actually seems to have been a rare occurrence because in the following resets it seems to have been OK.

Hi MXB

There is nothing stopping you from going to get some jungle grass from the Oerkki and continuing to play, you don't need to leave the outback. Unless you activate the portal you won't be going anywhere. And you'll need to go deeper to find iron anyway. Wheat seeds can be obtained the same way from the other grass. Chill, play and have fun :)

Ah, so you mean that once you go down the rope (I think it was) you can actually come back up? Thought it was a one way and once down you had to defeat or avoid dozens of Oerkki to get through the portal. Sign at the top does say something to the effect that it's death or success so that's misleading. Totally misunderstood how that works. Thanks for the better explanation.

Perhaps it's not as daunting as advertised. My char has all that it needs to advance (well not sure about "the best armour you can make" because that could mean anything) to the upper world...
