Spoiler
Differences from mgcarpathian default preset
- spread parameters for noises have been made much smaller to make the terrain more compact. (hence the name of the preset)
- scale parameters have been changed so that hills are generated more frequently, together with some other terrain features. Step mountains are less frequent.
- Sizes of various terrain features have been changed. Hills are larger, mountains are generally smaller and more varied.
- Various small changes and tweaks to persistence values and general mgcarpathian settings.
- All relevant mapgen seeds have been re-randomized, so if you had any mgcarpathian seeds written down, this will be a completely new experience.
How do I enable it?
1. Via map_meta.txt (local):- Create a new mgcarpathian world without entering it. Say it's named miniature.
- Navigate to that world's directory: MINETEST/worlds/miniature/.
- There should be a file called map_meta.txt generated automatically. Open it and remove all contents except for the line that stars with seed = and is followed by some random numbers.
- Download this map_meta.txt from Miniature's repo: [link]
- Copy all of its contents into your seed-only map_meta.txt. Make sure that your seed line stays on top of the file, and that the last line of the file says [end_of_params]. Save.
- After that you can enter the world.
- Find your minetest.conf file. It usually should be in the root of your Minetest folder. Open it and delete all lines that start with mgcarpathian, if there are any.
- Download this minetest.conf from Miniature's repo: [link]
- Copy all of its contents into your minetest.conf. Save.
- After that, any mgcarpathian world you create will have the Miniature preset enabled. This doesn't affect previously created mgcarpathian worlds, or worlds with different mapgens.

You don't need to attribute me for screenshots or videos of terrain generated with this preset, although it would be nice of course ;D
