How To Make Games With Prebuilt Map And Multiplayer Support?

by Shwexon » Post

Hello everyone, I'm new to the world of modding and creating games in Luanti, so this question might appear a bit newbish.

Anyways, I would like to know how to make a game which upon creating a new world, the new world will use a prebuilt map. Another thing is that the game in intended to also be played with multiplayer.

I heard you can use "register_on_generate", but I'm not sure if this is the way and I'm not sure how to use it in the case I want to place schematics.

I've been having a hard time finding a proper answer to this question, so any help would be appreciated.

Hello and welcome to the forums,

Multiplayer support is built-in. Actually, since all* code runs on the server side, any client can connect to a Luanti game server without any prior downloading from a third-party source other than the server. *With the exception of "experimental" client-side mods, which must be downloaded and installed manually, and aren't available like normal mods on ContentDB.

As for the question about pre-made worlds, see "How to make a game that loads a prebuilt map with each created world?" and "Can games include a prebuilt map?".
