That should stop the graphical glitches from the game modifications, if it can be resolved. Plus, it'll restore complete compatibility. Should actually be a Hotfix, like what NewPipe did when YouTube's API changed suddenly and created a severe, app-breaking glitch.

Under Luanti's versioning scheme it would be a patch release, 5.15.1. Those are only issued for issues like this one.

NewPipe does the same thing: It was 0.28.1, which changed a couple features, then not even a week later YouTube's API change forced NewPipe to make an emergency patch, releasing 0.28.1DBG to address it, then releasing 0.28.2 officially as an update.

(this is pasted over from my f-droid reply)
i am also an andoid user on a low end device. i have a helio g35 in my phone with 6gb ram (usually 3-4gb available) and, while i only looked around in a cloned install, i did not saw any of such graphical issues. i tried minetest game and outside that i spawned inside the terrain i didnt notice anything bad at all. asked ai (found no site which has both models listed) to compare the summit 5g you have and my armor 15 and your is higher end, has better capabilities (except ram) so modernness probably isnt the problem

(i didnt read the topic well so sorry if im not up to date)

I just responded on F-Droid, with Luanti's developers working on a patch, that problem is solving itself. 5.15.1 will release soon and the problem will be gone.
